Ok, so I have a question for you all. How on earth do you keep a house clean when you have more kids than hands??????? I admit I am a full on mom-of-more-than-1-kid snob. I remember the days when I only had 1 kid and I thought--big deal--keeping a clean house isn't that hard. You just clean once a week and tidy up now and then. HAHAHAHAHA. Now I look down my nose on those who "only have 1 kid." Keeping a clean house is SOOOO easy. (Please don't take this too seriously--I don't really look down on you. I'm just mocking myself and my naive pre-twins ways) ;)
I swear I clean constantly. While I'm loading the dishwasher, James is unloading the pots and pans. While I'm sweeping the dining room floor, James is emptying a box of noodles/crackers/raisins--you take your pick--onto the kitchen floor. I'm cleaning up the floor after feeding the girls, they're spitting up/throwing up on the living room carpet. While I'm putting away one box of itsy-bitsy little blocks, James is demanding to unload it, and dump out another 3 boxes of similar size toys. (Do I allow him to dump them all out and avoid a temper tantrum, or insist that he only unload one at a time?)
So, I've gotta know. Those of you with neat-nick houses--HOW DO YOU DO IT????? GRRRR. I'm so sick of cleaning up after kids and I have at least anther 18 years of it go! Off my soap box now. Venting done. Tell me how you do it!

I haven't figured it out, and I think I've given up trying and just do my best and be happy with whatever gets done, and don't sweat a little clutter. If someone comes over and sees your messy house, you have a built in excuse: 3 kids, and they will understand.
:) I really dont know what your talking about. of course it's easy to keep clean all the time ;) j/k
HA! I agree with Deborah!! {CHOKE}. Isn't that the truth though? The thing I'm finding is that if there is ever something that I am feeling somewhat smug about that I should start repenting right then, because humbling is on the way!!!! Your kids are darling, by the way!!!
It is a never ending battle. It will get to the point when you will have to decide should I clean up the mess or play with the kids and more oft than not your house will be a bit messier because you can't resist the kids plea for you to play. It does get a little better as they get older but for right now, I wouldn't sweat it too much. It is not worth the stress. I think you are doing an amazing job. (=
Its really very easy to keep a clean house with kids running this way and that while dumping out every single lego, barbie, polly pocket, star wars dude and all items in the pantry while trying to potty train, monitor homework, keep kids from knocking each other's teeth out and so on.....the secret is being a neurotic mess. Or just accepting the fact that it might be messy. Or screaming and yelling. Or accepting the fact it might be messy. Or threatening bodily harm and being neurotic and screaming and yelling. Or accepting the fact it might be messy. I haven't figured it out yet.
Firstly, I am not very clean. However here is my 2 cents worth:
'the house only has to be clean once a day' No one said that had to be all at once or even for very long! Then you can say 'yes! I have a clean house (in a round about way).' So, clean a room once, then let it go from your mind until tomorrow. It will lift a great burden from you shoulders. (This includes dishes)
When you figure it out.. let me know! I feel exactly the way you do! Laundry, dishes and cleaning NEVER ends!! and then when you give up for a few days its like a ZOO! ha I will say that I do try to clean at the end of the day when all THREE kids are sleeping. at least one room and then it makes me feel better. or try to at least do the dishes so they won't pile up. but i have no secrets I just think it will always be a never ending story! good luck
ps your girls are DARLING! they are getting SO big. I can "almost" say that twins are fun! ha sorry that's not nice but come on have you ever said it's easy!? ha It is "easier" then when they were newborns (that's my opinion!)
