Move over Martha!

Move over Martha, Step back She-Ra, Jump aside Julia Child . . . I can make baby food! I don't know what is so terribly liberating and empowering about making my own baby food but man I feel great. I suddenly feel this sense of power now that I don't have to rely on Gerber or Earth's Best or whoever to feed my children. Freedom from "The Man". ;) I've only done peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, and pears, but my creative juices are following and who knows what I'll do next week. Hee-hee. I know, if I was REALLY a woman of power I would have grown my own veggies. Next year.

Oh my gosh! Those bags of peas bring back so many memories! I made my babies' food too. Steaming, blending, measuring, a freezer full of colorful bags . . . It was kind of fun. We are women -- hear us roar!!

All right, so I was a slacker in comparison with only one child at a time and never making my own baby food. But, as I'm constantly thinking, you are truly amazing!

Your babies are beautiful.

WTG with your Martha-esque endeavor. I am proud of you. I have a friend that swears baby food is bad for babies and that making your own is the only way to go. I don't know about all that but it has to be a bit healthier and definitely cheaper.
